2020 Gratitude

2020 was full of challenges. Parker Construction operated safely during the pandemic by following state COVID guidelines. We managed a small crew safely by wearing masks, meeting all clients outside with masks and plenty of space, and ensuring proper ventilation on job sites. And, we managed to repair a few foundations in much need of custom concrete TLC. Thanks to all our great clients in 2020. We are in this together. Michael & co- Thank you so much! We are

SkateParker completes Brattleboro “Perseverance” Skatepark

Perseverance Skatepark

Years in the making, the groundbreaking ceremony on June 15, 2020 was one to celebrate. Even the global coronavirus pandemic couldn’t stop it! Parker Construction was hired by the Town of Brattleboro to build a world class concrete Skatepark at Living Memorial Park. The Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening on October 3, 2020 was a community celebration of all the hard work (and 15 years of persevering) that went into making this dream a reality. We were honored to build

Underground house live action build

2018 was a busy year – so much so that we’re only now posting about what Parker Construction pulled off! Spraying concrete shells around 2 underground houses (one in VT, one in NH) went off without a hitch. Okay, there were steep learning curves – spraying shotcrete from a manlift 30 feet in the air isn’t easy – but we accomplished the goal safely and cost effectively. We hope the design/owners are enjoying the cool, climate controlled, underground living. View

Bethel Skatepark in progress

Get in the 2020 season line up

Concrete season is short in Vermont.  And that gives us plenty of time for planning our summer and fall jobs.  If the damp, crumbling basement that holds up your entire house is weighing on your mind, contact Parker Construction today for an estimate.  We offer free estimates in the off-season, and explain all your options in detail, but once the roads dry and weather warms, we are hard pressed to visit all jobs.  Parker Construction is now accepting deposits for

2017 season a shotcrete success!

In 2017, Parker Construction completed 2 major foundation repairs in Central Vermont, and a 16,000 square foot custom concrete skatepark in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.  To accomplish this level of work, we upgraded from spraying dry-mix concrete or “gunite”, to using a new shotcrete pump to apply wet-mix concrete.  Skilled at pneumatic concrete application to achieve superior strength and durability, Parker Construction, Inc is now equipped to apply a stronger concrete in less time, with less waste.  Contact us today

Historic 1815 foundation restored in Downtown Stowe

Parker Construction repaired the foundation on an 1815 building on Main Street in Downtown Stowe.  The building is being restored and renovated for commercial space, and had a crumbling stone foundation.  Parker Construction jacked up the entire building, removed rotten sills, reinforced the stone foundation, installed new support posts and beams, and poured a new concrete slab to finish the basement.  Giving new life and support to old buildings, all in a month’s work! Check out how Gunite is applied,

West Lebanon Park In the News

The new skatepark feature built by Parker Construction in West Lebanon is featured in the Valley News – learn more about the history of the park, why local residents are eager to skate the new concrete, and future plans for building more features.  This is just the beginning!  Thanks to all who made this first phase possible, and demonstrated what is possible when a community rallies around supporting skateboarding.

Button up your house

Parker Construction just finished replacing all the siding on a ranch-style home in Plainfield VT.  First, the old siding is removed, and any rotten wood is removed and replaced.  After all the rot is repaired, and a insulation inventory is conducted, Parker Construction works with the homeowner to custom order the best siding and replacement windows – and improve overall insulation – so that the house will be warmer and rot-free for decades to come.
